Leigh McCullough and John Roosevelt Boettiger, our first vacation together in Provence, June 2005. A lovely month, during which I was able to capture another photo of Leigh among other sunflowers in a field of sunflowers beside a country road. "Stop the car John," she said. "I want to get out." See below center, my (and her) witness, so wonderfully and playfully reflective of her character.
The third photo was taken at my son Joshua's wedding to Vanessa Grajwer in June of 2008, a beautiful, blessed day on High Meadow Farm in the Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts. Joshua and Vanessa now have a 5-month old daughter, Paloma. They may be headed west, closer to the rest of the Boettiger clan.
And last, during our consulting, teaching and research years at Modum Bad, an extraordinary psychiatric community in the farm and forest countryside of southern Norway, northwest of Oslo. The photo was taken during a small party with our friends to celebrate my 69th birthday, March 30, 2008.
